AFC Columbia’s inaugural Women’s Premier Soccer League campaign will be lead by AFCC Director of Coaching, Kurtis Boardsen, who will also assume the role of AFCC Women’s Head Coach.
Boardsen took charge of AFC Columbia’s Men’s squad in 2021, helping to build a competitive team capable of success in the Midwest Premier League. Upon entry to the MWPL in the 2022 season, Boardsen led the Eagles to a second place finish in their inaugural season.
Boardsen brings strong experience in coaching women’s soccer. Currently stationed as the Head Coach for the Battle High School women’s soccer team, he previously led the Stephens College squad from 2017-2021. He also has prior experience coaching at Moberly High School and Columbia Soccer Club.

Coach Boardsen is looking forward to getting started. “I’m excited to give the Ladies their turn to represent Central Missouri under the AFCC badge. We have a number of very strong schools and programs around the area that I think can culminate into something very special in the WPSL!”
Boardsen will take charge of the AFCC Women’s team immediately, focusing on tryouts and moulding a squad capable of challenging for the WPSL title.
