Connor Bandre named AFCC Men’s Assistant Coach

AFC Columbia is excited to announce the arrival of Connor Bandre as an assistant coach in the backroom for Head Coach Chris Miller. Bandre joins the staff alongside fellow assistant coach Brandon Russell.

Bandre joins the coaching group to bring fresh ideas and work together with Head coach Chris Miller. Bandre just recently got appointed the Assistant Men’s & Women’s coach at Columbia College where he will continue to learn and develop under long time Cougars Head Coach John Klein. Coach Bandre has a great resume from local programs where he was a former assistant for both the boys and women’s high school team for Southern Boone. The Goalkeeper coach for Sporting Columbia. And a former Graduate Assistant for William Woods Men’s soccer program, during his time as a graduate assistant he retuned to his alma mater and helped the Westminster College Blue Jays soccer team as an Assistant Coach. His most recent role was the head coach of the Father Tolton Boys soccer program from Spring of 2020 to Spring 2022.

As a player, Bandre finished his career at Westminster College, where his first year there he was a pivotal piece in helping the Blue Jays win the SLIAC tournament being named the Tournament MVP, taking the Blue jays back to the NCAA Tournament in 2017.

Coach Bandre is excited to be a part of the men’s coaching staff this year. “I am super excited to be joining the coaching staff at AFC Columbia. I am looking forward to building off the club’s inaugural season and contributing to the growth and success of both the clubs and our players!”

Bandre will start working with Head Coach Chris Miller and fellow assistant Brandon Russell immediately to oversee tryouts and development of the men’s squad prior to their second season in the Midwest Premier League.
