AFC Columbia is excited to announce the arrival of Chris Miller, who will take charge of the Men’s squad in their 2023 Midwest Premier League campaign.
“Miller brings the level of experience and quality we want from our coaches,” remarked club President Zach Fisher. “He is one of the winningest coaches in Missouri, and he will bring a higher standard to the club. We are excited to see how he transforms the Men’s squad.”
Coach Miller was inducted into the Missouri Soccer Hall of Fame in 2018, and holds a record of 694 wins, 296 losses, and 50 draws- a 67% win record. He was named Missouri Coach of the Year 10 times throughout his coaching career.
Miller is delighted to be joining the club. “It is an honor to join AFC Columbia and a group of passionate, dedicated and driven players, followers and board in a collective effort to proudly represent Mid MO soccer and the AFCC badge. This area has produced top players for years and seeing them come together last season was a real highlight for the soccer community. The excitement of building from the foundation that the board and staff have already set, along with establishing a culture of greatness with our play and our efforts is the task at hand — and what a beautiful opportunity for the men (and now women!) it is! We won’t lose sight of that as we aspire to being the best version of us that we can be. Onward Forward!”
Miller will take charge immediately, overseeing tryouts and training in preparation for preseason matches in April.
