Following the news of the club joining the Women’s Premier Soccer League and Coach Kurtis Boardsen’s appointment as AFCC Women’s Head Coach, AFC Columbia has officially appointed Lauren Robb as the AFCC Women’s Assistant Coach.
Coach Boardsen commented on the move: “I’m thrilled to bring Lauren into the AFC Columbia Family and the Women’s inaugural staff. Lauren brings some wonderful experience and success to our staff and we are thrilled to allow area Female Coaches the opportunity to be a part of this venture. Lauren will do great things for our Club!”
As the current Head Women’s Soccer Coach at William Woods, Robb brings a history of success, having made an NAIA National Championship Appearance, and previously earning an AMC Coach of the Year (2020) award, two AMC Newcomer of the Year awards, and an AMC Freshman of the Year award.

Lauren is looking forward to her new role in AFCC’s inaugural WPSL season. “I’m excited about AFCC expanding to the women’s side. I’m looking forward to working with the local talent and seeing what’s to come from this club.” She will take charge alongside Coach Boardsen as tryouts begin in March and onwards.
